The International Arctic Summit "The Arctic and offshore projects: prospects, innovations and regions development" (the Arctic 2018 St.Pb) held on February 15-16, 2018, completed its work in St. Petersburg.

The summit was held in one of the leading universities in Russia with more than 85 years of history, such as the St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University (St.PbSMTU), the university with deep traditions and dynamically growing perspectives, which is the center of Russian shipbuilding.

About 300 scientists as well as the representatives of science, government and business, over 100 companies and organizations took part in the work of the "The Arctic 2018 St.Pb" Summit. The geography of the participants is spread from Vladivostok and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the Volga region, Rostov-on-Don and the Arkhangelsk region, from the Nenets and Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous districts to the Republics of Komi and the Sakha (Yakutia), from Japan to France and from Canada and Denmark to Azerbaijan.

Also within the framework of "The Arctic 2018 St.Pb" Summit, the Round Tables "Energetics and communication of the Arctic Circle" and "Economic, Info-communication and cultural integration of the Arctic Region into the Eurasian Space" were held. The subject of Asker Almasov’s report, the project manager of SINAM Company at the round table "Energetics and communication of the Arctic Circle" was the innovative developments in the field of seismic forecasting, seismic protection and prediction of accidents in extreme Arctic conditions.

As it was noted in the report, SINAM Company in its works relies on advanced achievements of science and technology and closely cooperates with the Institute of Management Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, and on a number of projects acts as a unified team. The subject of the report prepared jointly with the Institute of Management Systems and the Academy of Arctic Sciences under the guidance of the Academician T. Aliev was "Robust noise technologies and monitoring systems of the beginning of a latent period, monitoring the dynamics of development and forecasting accidents at oil and gas facilities operating under extreme conditions".
